Players attitude praised by United boss
5th September 2008

BEDWORTH UNITED utility player Neil Lazarus has literally been clocking up the miles.

Lazarus was due to miss four weeks of the season through work commitments. But last Saturday he made the three and a half hour drive from Basingstoke to play in the FA Cup tie at Willenhall and did the same for the replay on Tuesday night. He is also set to come back to play in the home game with Dunstable tomorrow (3pm).

Greenbacks boss Liam O'Neill said: "Neil's attitude is unbelievable. It is costing him money to play for Bedworth United at the moment with his travelling.

"He is the kind of players I want at this club and it tells me a lot about his attitude towards the game. He finished work just before dinner last Saturday and set straight off for Willenhall, arriving at the ground for 2.30pm. That is a brilliant effort and he deserves nothing but praise."
