Bedworth go out early doors
3rd September 2008

BEDWORTH UNITED bowed out of the FA Cup at The Oval last night as Willenhall Town snatched a 3-2 victory after extra time in the preliminary round replay.

After 90 minutes the sides were locked at 2-2 but it was Town who booked their passage thanks to a stunning 30-yard drive from Scott Stevenson in the 117th minute.

Earlier in the tie former Nuneaton Town youngster Danny Edmond gave United a second minute lead but Josh McKenzie fired the visitors back on terms on the half hour.

Again Bedworth snatched the advantage through Jan Skonieszki just before the break but Sean Findlay's equaliser just after the hour send the tie into extra time.
